Javon recently debuted his most recent project, a score for the Alfred Hitchcock film, The Lodger. Commissioned by the Syracuse Film Festival, Javon and his band performed the piece during a screening of the 1927 silent film by the master of suspense during the October festival. The Lodger is a silent film based on the story of the hunt for Jack the Ripper. In an interview with the Syracuse New Times, Javon explains that depth of the characters drew him to the film. “In the beginning [of the film] it draws you in, like when the lodger first comes to the house,” Jackson says. “You don’t hear the sound, but the knocking of the latch against the door. Obviously when I see that, I hear something immediately. You can read the entire feature story here. He also has plans to perform the score at the Santa Fe Film Festival. More details to follow.

Plans for a new record are coming together as well, with Javon planning a trip into the studio in the not so distant future to lay down original music and a few other surprises.
